Take the Seven Steps to a Perfect Brew...
When you come into Bacchus to put down a brew, you'll participate in
our seven
step process with the assistance of our Master Brewer...
Step 1: Choose A Brew
You'll choose from over 112 specialist brews including lagers, bitters,
ales, pilsners and stouts.
Step 2: Measure Out Your Ingredients
Our Customer brewers use their brewing recipe to measure out the highest
grade malts and hops from Australia and around the world.
Step 3: Start the Mashing Process
Cracked malted barley and hot water are added to the mash tun then
rested for 40 minutes for sugar conversion.
Step 4: Lautering Begins
The liquid is drained into a kettle and boiled. Hops are added for
bitterness, contributing flavours and aromas.
Step 5: Wort Transfer
Hot Bitter Wort liquid is transferred through a heat exchanger, (which
drops the temperature), into a fermenter.
Step 6: Pitching of Yeast
You add the brewers yeast.
Step 7: Choose Labels and Set a Bottling
Appointment
Personalised labels are available for your brew if required. You will
also set an appointment to return for the bottling of your brew - allow
2-3 weeks.
Following the seven steps our master brewer takes over, guiding your
brew through the fermentation, maturation, filtration and carbonation
processes without using any additives or preservatives.
